CONNECTING OF WELDED CHAINS

When assembling welded chain (on site or in the workshop) Can-Am recommend using the hot riveting method for peening the rivets in place. This can be achieved as shown above or by heating the rivet “white” hot and then riveting the pin with a hammer. An alternative to this is by placing a “Connecting pin weld ring” over the pin and welding the internal chamfer to the pin.
